Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I think being an entrepreneur is more than “making money.” You have to be mentally and financially prepared. It is important to set a budget, especially if you are using your own money to start a business initially. Write down everything you want for your business as a story, and as you research the cost of an item, ingredients, or service, consider your “working time,” profits vs losses, merchant services, branding photoshoots, reading materials, paper products, etc to offset the income you desire to have for yourself.
It can be overwhelming, but having a timeline and pacing yourself is important. You won’t become rich overnight, but the entrepreneurship journey is worth the reward. When you have an idea for a business, find your target audience and figure out what marketing techniques work best for you! Overall, the last two years have not been easy, but as I learn, I am grateful to help others!

"I spent thousands of dollars to purchase all my containers, products, and ingredients. I researched many articles with hopes of gathering funding information that would supply my business with enough capital to purchase everything needed to continue selling products throughout the year...

Private label manufacturers take a lot of the guesswork out of trying to figure out what products and ingredients you want to sell under your business...

I enjoy making my products from scratch because I feel intentional about selling the products that I choose to create. No one can create the way that I do, so for me it is bigger than making money. I will continue to make small batches of my body butter and enjoy the process from start to finish because my hard work will create dedication and longevity for my business."
